Vinyasas

ekam...
I still find myself cycling through the vinyasas.

...dve...
Counting.

...trīṇi...
These nights that I still find myself being chased by bad dreams.

...catvāri...
Yes, they still appear.

...pañca...
I wonder how deeply they are ingrained.

...sapta...
When they will show again.

...aṣṭau...
My hope is that it is something of a purging.

...nava...inhale...
There solace to be found in repetition - solace in incremental growth.

Everyone loops from time to time. Our challenges are two:

Distinguishing between helpful loops and harmful, and

Breaking out of the prison of the latter.

Both can be easier with the help of good friends.

Very salient points Anon.

Learning these points you make, recognizing them, accepting them, and listening to the self - are all important parts of the process.

With repetition we gain an ever finer perception of the contrasts between center and the peripheries. It seems like the feeling of the perception doesn't vary much, though, so as we refine our precision at locating the center, our ever-narrowing divergences toward those peripheries feel as radical as they've ever been. So, ironically, in our extreme moments we sometimes miss that we are closer than ever to the center.
