On Art. On Yoga.
Art can be anything. Yoga can be anything.
It's the way you look at things - you figure it out on your own. In many respects, there's no right or wrong way.
They are both meditation acts - the rest of the world drops away.
Infatuation occurs with the creative - when you express some Truth. Be it through asana or a line on a page.
It's all about what we observe in our lives.
Yoga is one way to process these observations internally.
Art is the manifestation of of these observations to express to others what is seen.
It's all about what we experience.
How we see the world.

Vinyasas
ekam...
I still find myself cycling through the vinyasas.
I still find myself cycling through the vinyasas.
...dve...
Counting.
...trīṇi...
These nights that I still find myself being chased by bad dreams.
...catvāri...
Yes, they still appear.
...pañca...
I wonder how deeply they are ingrained.
...sapta...
When they will show again.
...aṣṭau...
My hope is that it is something of a purging.
...nava...inhale...
There solace to be found in repetition - solace in incremental growth.
There solace to be found in repetition - solace in incremental growth.

Mid-Atlantic Summer
Nothing like walking out of the office to grab a chai and thinking to yourself:
Wow, a packed Bikram class would be much more pleasant.
